Tayvallich Primary School and ELC

Week beginning 27th November

TV red sky

Hello there

This a brief update from me after what was a very busy week last week.

I am immeasurably proud of our pupils, staff and wider school community for engaging in such a positive way with our HMIE Inspection process last week. Our visitors got a very clear picture of our school and will now take account of all that they saw and heard and report back early in the New Year. You can remind yourself about how the inspection process works by checking out the You can find out more about inspection, from the Inspection and review documentation pages of Education Scotland’s website. Thank you, one and all.

Coming up.

We are almost into December and will soon be looking to Christmas and other winter celebrations. We are planning our winter performance and have secured a specially devised script, which will bring together the topics we have covered in school this session (Egyptians and Titanic) with a festive slant from Iceland and music and songs.

The performance will take place in school on Tuesday 21st December and I will be issuing a Google Form to find out what time will suit most of you to come and see it, based around your work, other commitments and transport arrangements. Ticket numbers will be limited to 2 per family in the first instance, due to space considerations.

There is also an option for us to perform the show in the hall on another date, should other community groups wish to see it and as long as the cast and production team members are available. As yet, we have not had any enquiries about us providing such entertainment but we are open to offers.

Christmas cards.

The Parent Council has asked that I remind you about the following fantastic opportunity to get your Christmas Card orders in:

Class Fundraising Christmas Orders

Please remember if you wish to place an order for Christmas merchandise featuring your child’s artwork that the deadline is midnight tonight, Sunday 26th November.

The proof cards have very straightforward instructions on how to order and all orders placed will delivered to the school for us to distribute.

Happy shopping!

Parent Council Christmas Events

I am waiting for the Parent Council to confirm dates for some exciting festive events over the next three and a half weeks and will add these to our school calendar as soon as they are confirmed.

Have a fantastic Monday with no school and you know where I am, if you need anything.
