Mid-week update 30th November

holly

Apologies for the second update this week. For those of us who mark or celebrate Christmas, there are a few things coming up that I have been asked to inform you about which won’t wait until the next weekly update!

Parent Council Christmas Wreath Making

A message from our wonderful Parent Council:

Following on from last year’s very successful fundraising event and back by popular demand, Tayvallich Primary School Parent Council are hosting another wreath making evening!🎄 A chance to create your very own Christmas wreath whilst catching up with friends, enjoying some favourite festive tunes, a delicious mince pie and a glass (or two!) of mulled wine. 🍷

We’d love to welcome you (adults only please!) to Tayvallich Village Hall on Tuesday 5th December at 7:30pm. 🌟

Your £20 entry includes all the ingredients you will need to create your wreath including foliage, wreath ring, ribbons, cones, etc. Parent council members will be on hand to serve refreshments and help get creativity flowing! 🎅🏻🤶🏻🎅🏻🤶🏻

(If possible please bring along your own secateurs✂️ and gloves- this would really help us out!)

Please book your spot and let us know you would like to come by …

🎄emailing tayvallichparentcouncil@gmail.com

🎄 filling in the sign up sheet in the shop

🎄or coming to chat to us at the parent council table at the craft fair on Sunday.

🌟It would be lovely if you could join us again to enjoy some jolly fun and help us top up school funds!🌟

Rotary Club Christmas Grotto

I have had an email on behalf of Mid Argyll Rotary to ask me to let you know about the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 2nd  December in the Parish Church Hall, Lochgilphead.

They are running a Santa`s grotto and children, accompanied by parents/carers get to meet Santa, receive a present and finish off with a family photo by a local photographer.  Any proceeds will go towards helping Rotary support local charities, individuals and Rotary’s end Polio now campaign. Please see the poster here for more information.

Village Christmas Craft Fair

This takes place this Sunday, 3rd December, from 12 until 3pm in the Village Hall.  There is information on Facebook but the event involves soup and sandwiches, many stalls and the annual raffle of the Christmas Hamper.

This will be a fantastic community event and as always, we are very keen to support our partners who run our wonderful Community Hall.

Christmas lunch

Many thanks to those of you who have returned menu choices for the children for the Christmas lunch which takes place on Wednesday 13th December. Children are very welcome to wear a Christmas jumper or accessory on that day, if they would like.
