P7 Extended Transitions
A gentle reminder that P7s have two upcoming transition visits as outlined in the information letter before the easter break (Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th). Please ensure you have made transport provisions accordingly.
Gigha School Trip
We had an excellent time on our trip to Gigha with learning about CalMac, a trip on the ferry, meeting up with the Gigha ranger and visiting the gardens, learning about the wee isle dairy, ice cream and much more. See our gallery for pictures. https://www.tayvallich.argyll-bute.sch.uk/gigha-trip-2026/
Joint Learning
On Thursday 7th P1-6 will be headed to Craignish to do some joint learning with Craignish and Glassary Primary School. We will be joined by Pete and Olly from Heart of Argyll Wildlife. Please watch out for permission slips (which includes further information) in school bags. You will note that further information for those who normally get school transport will be received on Monday- please keep an eye on that communication.
Rights Respecting
Thank you to those who provided us with some parental views or our Rights Respecting Silver award. Our evidence is in and we are looking forward to our visit on the 13th April in which we will be asked questions, share our learning and enjoyment of rights and find out if we have achieved our silver award. Thank you to those parents who volunteered at parent council to be part of this journey with us, they are very keen to have your input. If you haven’t signed up already, you are available on the 13th April and can help us by sharing your views please contact enquiries. As you know, the pupils have been making a short film to raise more understanding regarding what Rights respecting actually means and why children’s rights are so important.

Sunshine
As we have been enjoying some well-deserved sunnier weather this week, please could parents ensure that all children come to school with sun hats in their bags and apply suncream before school as you see fit. Long may the sunshine continue!
