Important News and Information:

Mrs Fraser’s Last Day Friday 15th May

As you know, today was Mrs Fraser’s last day as Principal Teacher for a while as she begins her Maternity leave. Mrs Fraser’s baby on the other hand, had other ideas and arrived safely yesterday, May 14th! Mrs Fraser is now Mummy to a beautiful baby girl and we were able to share this happy news with the children today.

Mrs Fraser will be greatly missed, but we know that Mrs Dixon and Mrs Campbell will look after things while she’s away enjoying lots of lovely baby cuddles. Congratulations Mrs Fraser and Ben, we can’t wait to meet baby Evans-Steele-Fraser!

Car Wash Saturday 9th May
Thank you to all of those who served food, sold raffle tickets and recipe books and washed the cars! It was an incredibly successful event which raised over £1200 for parent council funds. Our parent council are the ones who pay for the majority of our school trips and other fun stuff, so much would not be possible without their support. Massive thanks and well done to all involved – we are hugely grateful.

Recipe Books

There’s still some recipe books available to purchase – and we’re happy to take orders ahead of the next run. So, if you didn’t get one on the day and would like one, please email enquiries and we’ll arrange getting that to you. They are £9.00 each and have been compiled by the pupils. All funds raised will go to the parent council.

Parents Portal
Please be aware that the new parentsportal, which communication was issued about centrally and from us here at school, went live on Monday. You need to sign up for a mygov.scot account for access to the parentsportal, then you need to link your children. The parentsportal will give you access to edit your child’s information that we hold, complete permission slips online, book slots for parents’ evening and more. If you need any support with this, please let us know.

Rights Respecting Visit- Wednesday 13th May

We were delighted to share with you all that we achieved our Silver accreditation this week, following our assessor’s virtual visit on Wednesday. We are so proud of the children and the work they put in ahead of the visit and on the day. Thank you also to our parent volunteers for their attendance. Most credit should go to Mrs Fraser who pulled together our evidence – it was a massive task and without a doubt a huge contribution to our success.  We look forward to sharing some photographs with you when we receive our banner!
