Important Information:
Supporting Red Nose Day
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our “Gnome More Mess” garden tidy. Your hard work not only helped raise money for Comic Relief but also made our learning and play areas brighter and better for the children.
We had hoped to fit in some extra gnome‑themed games, but we were all so busy gardening—and enjoying the delicious snacks provided by the Food Club—that time simply ran away from us. There’s always next time!
A huge thank you to all our friends and families. Your support makes events like this possible. We are also grateful to everyone who was able to donate.
We haven’t quite reached our target of £100 and there’s still time to help us get there! If you would still like to donate, please click the link: Tayvallich Primary School is fundraising for Comic Relief
Early Finish- Thursday 2nd April
Please note that school will finish for the Easter Break on Thursday 2nd April at 2.30pm.
PATCH- Tuesday 31st March
During class time on Tuesday 31st, our P5, P6 and P7 pupils will be attending their PATCH sessions. If you have any questions regarding these sessions, please don’t hesitate to contact.
Heart of Argyll Wildlife- Tuesday 31st March
P1–4 will receive a visit from Heart of Argyll Wildlife on Tuesday afternoon, where they will have the chance to learn more about their Vikings topic.
Heart Start CPR Training- Wednesday 1st April
As you will know, unfortunately, due to illness we had to cancel the CPR training session on Wednesday. However, we are pleased to share that it has been rescheduled for next Wednesday.
We are very fortunate to be receiving CPR and vital life‑saving training. As part of the session, our P1–7 pupils will have the opportunity to learn about CPR in a gentle and age‑appropriate way.
P1–4: We kindly ask that pupils bring their favorite teddy or stuffed toy to school on this day. They will be able to practise CPR techniques on their soft toy as part of the learning experience.
Please note that, as we didn’t have enough interest this time, we will not be running the parent or staff CPR training session after school. We hope to offer similar opportunities in the future.
P7s Extended Transitions – Wednesday 1st April
Every Wednesday afternoon, our P7 pupils will continue their 10‑week Enhanced Transition Programme designed to support their move to High School.
* Please note, there will be a break in transitions next week, but sessions will resume as normal after the holiday
Childsmile
Childsmile were very pleased with us during their visit—another successful monitoring check!
Pick‑Up Arrangements
This is a friendly reminder that any changes to pick up arrangements—outside of your child’s primary contacts—must be shared with the school via the enquiries email. This helps us ensure your child(ren) remain safe and that we are fully informed about who is collecting them. This includes- playdate arrangements where your child goes home with a friend, relatives, family friends, or situations where your child is making their own way home.
