Community Showcase

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Craignish Village Hall for our Showcase performances this afternoon, it was lovely to have the communities from all three schools together again. We’re really proud of all the children and impressed with everything they’ve created, it was a big project but they all worked hard and the results certainly showed! The singing was fantastic and they did so well to manage back to back performances. We hope you enjoyed it and we hope the children have a relaxing weekend after all that hard work!

End of Term Arrangements

Next Friday is the last day this term. As you’ll know from last week’s update, we have a lovely last day planned, making lanterns for the Bonfire Night Lantern Parade in Lochgilphead. Please send your children to school in old clothes that they won’t mind getting messy – it’s going to be fun!

School Closes on Friday 2nd October for 2 weeks. We return to school on Monday 19th October.

Childsmile

We will have a visit from our friends at Childsmile on Wednesday next week. The Childsmile toothbrushing program is a great support to us at school, helping promote effective tooth brushing and educating us on what we should be eating and drinking to help us maintain a healthy smile.

Bonfire Presentation

P6 and P7 will take part in an interactive online presentation with Colin MacLean-Fleming from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on Wednesday morning next week, this is an important fire safety message ahead of bonfire night. Colin is our community safety officer attached to Oban Fire Station and is a familiar face in the school. We greatly appreciate the work that he does to highlight safety issues at key points throughout the year.

Chanter

Stuart was off this week but will be back next week – can all existing chanter players make sure that they bring their instrument with them every Thursday. New chanter players will get theirs this week.
