Garden Tidy & Red Nose Day- Friday 20th March
We would like to invite all families to our Garden Tidy event on Friday 20th March.

As part of our Red Nose Day celebrations, we’re inviting families to join us for a “Gnome More Mess” Garden Tidy Day! Come along, roll up your sleeves, and help us give our school grounds a cheerful spring refresh.

To add to the fun, we’re encouraging everyone to come dressed as garden gnomes or in any fun, garden‑themed outfit. Red noses very much encouraged!

What to bring:

  • Gardening gear – especially gloves
  • Snips, spades, shovels, buckets, trowels, and other hand tools
  • A big smile and plenty of enthusiasm!

Important:
Please do not bring any electric or fuel‑powered gardening tools for safety reasons.
Please email enquires by Friday 13th with an idea of who can come along (parents, family members and friends are all welcome).

Gaelic Event
A huge well done to Ms. MacKinnon and P1-7 pupils for delivering a fantastic Gaelic experience last Friday. The afternoon was a wonderful success, with strong community involvement and a great turnout from families and visitors. Thank you to those who were able to come along.

A gentle reminder to those who received feedback forms- please return at your earliest convenience.

P4-7 Rugby
We are hoping that P4-7 Rugby can continue with Aaron Martin every Thursday and will let you know when this is confirmed. If so, please ensure that your child(ren) come to school wearing their rugby kit and sensible trainers. Bring school uniform to change into after. We suggest packing pants, socks and hoodies just in case, as we will be outside as much as possible. The pupils will be playing non-contact, but they are still likely to get muddy.

Marine Restoration Highlands Rewilding
Highlands Rewilding are preparing to begin marine restoration work in the local area and have asked Tayvallich Primary School to be part of the effort. Marine Biologist-Dr David will be visiting the school on Wednesday 11th March to deliver a short, informative Q&A session with pupils, giving them the chance to learn more about the incredible marine environments around us and how they can play a part in their restoration and protection.

P7s Extended Transitions
Every Wednesday afternoon, our P7 pupils will be continuing their 10‑week Enhanced Transition Programme designed to support their move to High School.
