Monday of this week made us very proud of the children as they respectfully marked Remembrance Day and reflected on the themes of service, sacrifice, selflessness and peace. The focus and respect they showed during our 2 minute silence were very impressive.

Please check out the Gallery to see some of the beautiful work they created: Remembrance – Tayvallich Primary School and ELC

You can also hear the wonderful poetry reading by some of the P5 to 7 class here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1–SQiH6nTHuxBFH2D8JBeRKVKGLbd8TE/view?usp=drive_link

FOREST

Mrs Carter, Miss Fraser and Miss Logan were very privileged to go to a preview of the exhibition of FOREST this Tuesday, where the oak tree portraits produced by our pupils earlier this term are now on display. Lizzie Rose has done the most fantastic job- of creating a powerful and meaningful installation and it is brilliant that all of our children are now exhibited artists.

We hope to take all the children to see the exhibition but you may also want to go along and check it out as a family.

Children in Need

At the time of writing, we have raised £30, which is 30% of our target for this year.  Many thanks to those of you who have managed to donate. We know that times are hard just now in many households across the UK but any donation you can make, however small, will make a real difference to the lives of children who have had a particularly difficult start in life.  You can donate via the link here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/tayvallich-primary-school-1731586198660?utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content=page%2Ftayvallich-primary-school-1731586198660&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=pfp-share
