Learning for Sustainability
As the children will have told you, we had a visit from Rowan and Sal, The Tayvallich Initiative Rangers on Wednesday. They told the children about our plans for some Learning for Sustainability session that they will be leading in April and May. We are really excited about how these will fit with our other work relating to this area. More details and dates will follow.
Fabulous Family Fridays
We have had some fantastic offers from our family community and this week the children heard from Lorna MacArthur about her work as a teacher.
Lunchtime clubs
This week has seen a lot of outdoor activity with soft start taking place in the sunshine and lunchtime Farm Club seeing the children washing the tractor wheels, establishing the farm to keep animals and planting cress, micro-greens, parsley and chives. Art club was equally busy with some extremely impressive drawings of new daffodils.
Many thanks to the amazing collaboration between staff and children to make these things happen.

Comic Relief
On Friday 21st March, we will once again be doing something funny for money. Everyone is invited to wear something red for the day. This could be a piece of clothing or an accessory and if at all possible, something recycled or hand-made out of sustainable materials. There will also be Comic Relief related activities in class throughout the day and possibly some really funny (terrible) jokes from Mrs Carter in assembly at the end of the day….. although if we managed to raise our target of £100 prior to 2.30pm on the 21st, the children might be very relieved not to have listen to her really funny (terrible) jokes in assembly.
