Important Information:

Seachdain na Gàidhlig (World Gaelic Week)

Fàilte gu Cluich is Cànan!

We are delighted to share that Ms. MacKinnon will be hosting a school and community event in celebration of Seachdain na Gàidhlig (World Gaelic Week).

The event, titled, “Cluich is Cànan!”  (Play and Language), will take place on Friday, 27 February at 2:00 PM in Tayvallich Village Hall.

Led by our students, this gathering offers an excellent opportunity for parents, families, and the wider Tayvallich community to engage with Gaelic language and culture. Whether you are fluent in Gaelic or completely new to it, we warmly invite you to join us for an afternoon of games, music, poetry, and refreshments (including tea, coffee, and cakes).

This event is made possible through funding from World Gaelic Week’s Small Grants Fund, with support from Bòrd na Gàidhlig. We thank Ms. MacKinnon for all her hard work and effort with this, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there.

Dental Inspection
P1+P7 will have their dental inspections at 1.30pm on Thursday 20th January.

P4-7 Rugby
We are very fortunate to be receiving a 6-week Rugby block with Aaron Martin through Active Schools. We are starting this block on Thursday 22nd. Please ensure that your child(ren) bring with them suitable PE attire and sensible trainers every Thursday. We are aiming to be outside as much as possible so hoodies etc. are advised. Please note that the pupils will be playing non-contact; however, they may still get muddy.

Burns Lunch
Mrs Briggs will be asking the pupils what they would like for their Burns Lunch on Thursday 22nd January. If your child does not wish a school dinner on this day, please pick “packed lunch” and provide as normal.

Music Festival
The Forty Second Mid Argyll Music Festival will take place on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st March in Lochgilphead. If your child(ren) would like to sign up, please see sign up forms in our documents section. Please note that if your child chooses to sign up you would be responsible for accompanying them, however we would authorise the absence for attending.
