Over the last couple of weeks and inspired by their literacy work with Miss Logan around Mairi Hedderwick’ s book “Katie Morag delivers the Mail”, the P1 to 4 pupils have done some amazing learning. Amongst many other things, they have developed their literacy (reading and writing letters), numeracy and drama (creating a post office, inviting staff and pupil visitors to it and using money and stamps), learning for life and work (inviting real life postie Abbie to visit) and even health and wellbeing (with a brisk walk to the post box).
We have been so impressed with the children’s amazing enthusiasm, learning and participation – always ready, respectful and safe.
