Outdoor Learning with Rowan and Sal

We have now had two fantastic outdoor learning sessions with Rowan and Sal from Tayvallich Initiative. The children and staff have been discovering the ways that we can care for the fantastic environment that surrounds us and make sure that we support it so it supports us long into the future. In the first session, Rowan and Sal explained and showed how tree planting of native species can help to make the local land a nurturing home for lots of other native plants and animals.  This week, the children helped to clear some Himalayan Balsam from the land, before it flowers, spreads and stops other native plants from being able to flourish.
