YesFest Pendle 2025

Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th June saw Mrs Carter, Mrs Speechley,  Charlie (Glassary), Ellie and Maisie travel to Colne Farm in Lancashire. The three children had volunteered and been selected to be the first Scottish delegates at YesFest. YESfest introduces 8, 9 and 10-year-old children to peer networks and gives them a supportive community, practical tools and resources in order to ‘do something good in their part of the planet’.

The children were amazing ambassadors for the school, the community and Scotland and we are so proud of them.

They engaged respectfully and enthusiastically with all the activities and showed their commitment to working with others to make progress towards achieving the Global Sustainable Development Goals.

More to follow about the work they plan to do and the YesQuests they made. And if either school needs a volunteer to take the next cohort of pupils to YesFest 2026, they know where to find Mrs Carter….or Lena, as she was called at the Festival!

Check out the YestFest website for more information…and the YesFest Pendle 2025 video will appear very soon, I’m sure: YESfest
