This was the most fantastic learning experience, for pupils and staff alike. Arthur Ker gave an utterly captivating reading of stories from his book “Close Encounters in the Forest” and explained about the making of the book. He also answered questions from the P5 to 7 pupils about his varied career in Graphic Design, Art and writing as part of their World of Work learning.
We also loved taking part in the workshop with Jacquelyn Condie from Kilmartin Museum for the Sewing for Hope workshop.
The children also got to spend quality playtimes together and the weather was kind to us, as you can see from the photos.
We are so grateful to Arthur and Jacquelyn for making this possible, and to Mrs Cathie Fyfe, our Temporary ASN Assistant in Tayvallich, for helping us to connect with Arthur.
